Music Theory

As a music educator, I firmly believe that a thorough knowledge in music theory fundamentals provides a foundation for success in performance. Fluency in fundamentals allow the ears to open up in a way that contributes to musical maturity. See my free theory handouts under the "Resources" tab in the menu.

In addition to a term paper, this poster was completed for my Pedagogy of Music Theory Class. I came to this conclusion after my first summer teaching fundamentals at Interlochen. I implemented the solution my second summer and this method proved successful.
